AIGA stimulates thinking about design through journals, conferences, competitions and exhibitions; demonstrates the value of design to business, the public and government officials; and empowers the success of designers at each stage of their careers by providing invaluable educational and social resources. Founded in 1914, AIGA remains the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design. AIGA now represents more than 22,000 design professionals, educators and students through national activities and local programs developed by 64 chapters and 240 student groups. AIGA is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) educational institution. |

Now in its 85th year, this time-honored competition aims to identify the 50 best-designed books and book covers of the past year. Chosen by a distinguished jury, all selections become part of the online AIGA Design Archives, a traveling exhibition that debuts at the AIGA National Design Center in New York, the physical collections of the Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Columbia University and the AIGA archives at the Denver Art Museum. Books may be read, consulted and treasured for years, but this competition is the best way to ensure that your creative legacy will endure.
